SUMMARY
Every body needs information and every body has the some chance to get the information. Even, there are some different between one with another on the way to get the information but it’s not crucial because basically it’s same ・using your eyes, using your heard, or using other senses’ abilities.
Information is the key to understand environments, the key to make a communication, the key to keep the life going on. In Tourism, information becomes an important aspect to build tourists curiosity. Tourism information can be share by two ways that are active or passive way. If active way must be hanging on the human ability (in this case is tourism guide), so passive way can be handle by create signage.
Signage has many added point, such as it can be stand by to share the information all the time, but to be a good one, it must be able to be used by any body with any possibility ways of using. Therefore universal design is a suitable concept to implement on the signage. In this project, one of user that can use the signage is blind persons. Creating an information signage for the blind is how the signage can optimizing other blinds’ senses’ abilities ・in this case is touching sensibility – with “tactile communication” methods.
